Is this house intended to be contemporary or something else? What is the room showing in the first picture going to be?

The picture with the large wall is the living room. The next is the staircase that will open to the living room. The last is from the living room to kitchen then the harth room. I've attached a floor plan and also some of a house that is close to ours. I hope that's more helpful then confusing.

Sorry! The finished pictures I posted have a media room in that house so it doesn't have the huge high ceiling in the living room.

The wall in the LR is the only 2 story wall, is that right?

This picture shows the pitch of the ceiling, how does that come together with the other walls?
