Hi..I have enough Carrara marble left over from my bathroom remodel (128" X 17" piece) to have 3 shelves (42" X 12" to 17" deep) hung above my counter with 4X12 inch Carrara subway tiles behind them from counter top to ceiling. The area will be sandwiched between the refrigerator cabinet on one side and another floor to ceiling cabinet on the other side above a base cabinet that will be 42 inches with a vegetable sink in the counter....I want to open the small kitchen up by omitting a cabinet and use the shelves for glass ware mugs and maybe a pretty bowl or two. How can I do that safely to be sure the shelves and their contents will be supported securely with no threat of crashing to the ground and hurting someone?....is it possible??
