I see absolutely nothing wrong with your kitchen as it is. It's beautiful. Why does everyone want to paint the walls gray when they have brown/rust counters and cabinets and backsplash? Then they lament how something is not right. What's not right is gray doesn't complement the warm browns at all. If this were my kitchen, I'd thank my lucky stars, but might consider painting the walls a light terra cotta.

Or a light sage.

Honestly, I'm over gray. But the kitchen is just not my personal style. It's a beautiful kitchen no doubt. It has an awesome layout and the cabinets don't bother me. The granite is way to busy for my taste though. And I would agree. The backsplash color is fine but the actual tile and layout is not my thing.

Your paint color is actually nice and fits the style of the house. What you might consider is changing out the backsplash. The size and style of the tiles do not fit with your granite. Have you looked at glass tiles in colors that will mix your cabinet color and the granite colors? The tiles can act like throw pillows or a scarf. When you want to blend colors you add something to mix them. The glass will match the sheen of the granite as well. You can get sheets that mix glass, stone and metals all in one and are gorgeous. Glass subways can change the way you look at the busy granite. Looking at your last picture, another thing that may help, would be to change the color of your trim from bright white. This would be a bigger project, but you may want to consider calming the white doors and trim.

Thank you everyone! I agree with you all about the backsplash. I might look into doing a glass subway tile. However, the kitchen is still not my style so my goal is to embrace the kitchen now how it is and eventually make changes down the road.

We have the same exact situation in our house, traditional kitchen with peachy walls. We ended up changing the backsplash to brighten it up a bit and painted the whole house an edge comb gray by Benjamin Moore. It is a great combo of beige and gray. The shades vary throughout the day depending on how much sun comes through the windows. It has really helped create a bit more flow throughout the house until we can redo the kitchen. A great tip I received is to paint large white construction boards with your various color samples and then tape them to the wall. You can move them around the house to make sure the color is exactly what you want. Good luck!
