Gutters

Your gutters have a lively appearance. I have several concerns so have a few questions for you.

Do sweetgum balls fit into these gutters? How about maple seeds and other small objects?

How do you clean them to be free of anything that might slip into the opening?

Do they ever freeze and back up into the roof to cause damage?

Are they seamless?

How long do they last in zones 5 and 6 with hard winters and strong winds?

What kind of care do they need?

Is the finish a baked on enamel?

What finishes are available?

What is important to know about these gutters?

My gutters are having problems, but I had thought they would last for the life of the house. They are only about twenty-four years old but have even come apart in one place. I never knew of gutters having to be replaced after a fine quality had been installed and they were kept clean.

Your answers will be appreciated.
