Seems that very few washers actually give you an accurate temperature. Some posters have washers that show it on the screen and others seem to have it printed in their owners manuals. Pink sticks a instant read thermometer in the detergent drawer or opens the drum an sticks it in the load. I have a WFW95 and use the same general principle for my wash water as my bath water. Cold is too cold to sit, cool is still a little chilly, warm is probably comfortable to touch and hot is is warmer than I like. My water heater is set at 120F, I think, so doubtful anything hotter than that is going into the washer. The onboard heater in my washer is for the steam function and maybe it keeps hot water hot until the end of the wash cycle. I don't do boiling washes or long presoaks or much of any other variables on my cycles. No mechanics, no babies or elderly, no contagious diseases or severe allergies. Dirty clothes go in; clean clothes come out. Some other posters on this forum have a wide range of laundry issues.

Thanks, I never thought about checking temp at the detergent drawer. I did open the door and still my hand in a warm load, it was quite comfortably warm.

Temp at the detergent drawer isn't a direct reading of water in the drum so accuracy is to be considered accordingly. The hot and cold water inlets typically cycle on/off to attain an incoming average of the target temperature the operating software wants.

You can also check it at the drain hose at end of the wash period ... with the caveat that some cycles may add cold water before draining the wash water.
