I would want a piece of something like thin foam to absorb the rattle that you might get from the dryer spin. But see how it goes. I love a surface over the machines.

Yes, I'd probably put a pad between the counter and the machines so there is no scratching with the vibrations. I wonder if those felt furniture leg stick on pads would do the trick.

OR those stick on silicone type plastic bumpers. It could add a bit of friction to the counter.

The new top is silent with no bumpers. Wife is pleased with all the new real estate.
