My
Petunia Tree

In
2006 I came across an article in a garden trade magazine featuring the
"Wave Tree. It was quite impressive and was meant to be
displayed to showcase wave petunias. Even though I didn't sell
annuals I thought that it might make a nice feature in the garden, so I had
my husband construct the tree. The tree filled in nicely, and people
loved it. The problem I ran into was that it needed constant
attention with watering, and since I had so many gardens to take care of I
knew that it would only be up for the one season.

A
gentleman my husband worked with showed the picture to his elderly aunt,
and she fell in love with it, so I decided to donate the tree to her.
She lives in the city and has a very tiny front yard. Her nephew puts
it up for her every year, and she'll gladly stop to talk to any passerby
who asks herThis
