My Hawaiian quilt

I am so happy with this quilt that it's hard to say goodbye to it. I just need to put a label on it, launder it and send it off to my dear friend on Maui. The fabrics were purchased there several years ago. It's about 60x80. I had the perfect color thread to quilt it with - a Signature color called Baguette - a kind of toasty color that blended beautifully into the blues and yellow-greens. I hope it brings my friend comfort.

Sometimes the timing is just perfect. My quilt reached my friend the day her husband died. She said that when she wrapped herself in the quilt it was as if I had my arms around her. What more can you ask.

Serene and beautiful. The simple all-over quilting is just perfect. It lets the lovely fabric do all the talking.
