Target sheets -- again

i just took delivery on Shabby Chic sheets from Target, primarily because mamapinky0 likes them. I didn't get the gray paisley ones I wanted because they have not been available for a long time now, so I settled on a tiny pink/blue flower design. Before I wash them, tell me what you think of Target's Threshold linen/cotton blend set. Do they really soften like the lovely SC percales?

We purchased a few sheet sets consisting of linen/cotton blend for the grandchildren's room.

Are they soft and comfortable after a few washes? Yes.

Be careful when washing. If you wash in hot water and dry in hot dryer, they shrink. The sizes are not generous; so after many washes, like ours, they are no longer suitable for a Queen mattress.

Pat I don't have Targets cotton linen blend..but what brushworks says about the dryer is good advice. Linen should be air dried or machine dried only half way than hang to dry.

My sheets say they are made in Bahrain, so we'll see. Washed twice yesterday in hot wa and Purex because no oils yet, will sleep in them tonight. Washing "mattress pad" now in hot wa and Tide w/Bleach powder -- yum-eeeee.
