I am partial to SW Tricorn Black. With that said a black barn would not hold up very well where I am.

Would you consider grey instead of black?

Is this a horse barn with horses in it? If so, don't paint it black, please! It'll get too hot in there.

It will have horses however we keep ours out 24/7. Hey come in only during really cold icy times or when we want to have them in for the farrier. Open to greys as well.

Why do you keep them turned out at night? Just curious! :)

We do keep horses out 24/7. We have a washroom and tack room that we use primarily in the barn. In bad weather we will bring horses in or if we need to for a show or fox hunt and want to keep them clean. They prefer the pastures.

I love black barns, simple clean no other color on trim, just need to find the "right" black.

I love the grey however the dark trim really sets is apart. What color is that grey?

You have built a beautiful traditional barn. I lean toward Beverly's advice and suggest if you really want black, which will be a stark contrast to your white house, then consider a dark gray with even darker trim or even black. Inserted is a black barn that is now quite weathered. I believe it is probably stained. Given that your barn is traditional and near your house I suggest the white trim to tie into the house.

I would do white, as your house with black trim.
