I agree. That was my first thought also, the two compete with each other. Either the chairs or the table, but not together. I'm not fond of the chair backs though.

I agree as well. Separately they are both lovely, but together they just don't work.

Perhaps a simpler version of either the chair, or the table will get the look you are going for, without the competing shapes?

If the table surface is glass and the chair is wood, the chairs are probably going to get "dinged" up. You may want to consider that. I have that problem and finally purchased"ghost chairs" for my kitchen, but do not see them complimenting your table. I love your table tho. Does the manufacturer make a line of chairs to go with it? Did you like the chairs or not? If they made chairs but you did not like them perhaps you could find others you do like by drawing from some ideas the manufacturer used to create the chairs for that table. If so, might you consider what materials are they constructed of and would they be "ding" proof? Are there particular design lines that they are following (I see hexagons and ()'s and )=( type patterns in your table) and maybe if the chairs you select replicate something of those geometrics in some way, that would help? Nice, but not together. The chairs seem to big for that table. Pick the one that you like the best and then find something that goes either with the table or with the chairs
