I made the top a few years ago and finally had it quilted, finished up the binding this weekend. I'm loving it, but it will be a gift. I just love the work of my new found longarmer.

A very long story short...it's going to a couple who when we finally caught up with them after a 30 year absence, we learned they lost their 22 yo son in a car accident 10 years ago. This past winter they lost their only remaking child to heart disease, she just turned 26. I can't image the heartache, may this bring some comfort.

That's a lovely quilt and color combo. Why some people have to endure such tragedy I don't know. And it seems like it's always the best people. You are very kind to give it to them.

Valarie, The quilt is beautiful and the comfort that goes with it should help to shield them from the tragic events that has happened in their lives.

Valerie, I love your quilt. The coral and teal colors are a wonderful combination. I have a son and daughter, and I can't imagine losing them both in their 20s. Life is so unfair. Some people have so much more than their share of tragedy and heartache. May your quilt bring them some amount of peace and comfort.

Beautiful quilt Val. I do hope that it does bring them some comfort in their grief. Life can be very hard sometimes.
