Our DR floor (red oak, solid wood) was refinished at least 30 years ago. We just want to freshen up the finish and they recommended screening and putting a coat of water-based poly down.

1) Is this a good option?

2) We don't remember if it was finished with oil-based originally. Would that matter if water-based is used now?

3) Anything we should be aware of or specify before it's done?
