Finishing my daughter's quilt. It's a busy month, so I will be very happy if only that happens.

I got my three lotto blocks for June, July and August in the mail and finished my One Block Wonder top. I'm going to try to get two tops sandwiched, quilted and bound this month, but truth be told, I like to piece way more than I like to quilt. I would like to finish the two last placemats for my daughter. Maybe I'll work on my scrappy log cabin and Bonnie Hunter's Boxy Stars and String-X too. That should do it. I'll be going to New York to visit my sis for a week, so that will cut into my quilting time this month.

I'm not ever nearly as prolific as you all, so the only goal I have is to decide on what the next quilt will be. I'm interviewing my batik stash right now (which isn't very large). I'll probably have to mix batiks with regular fabrics to keep from buying any.

Theresa, I do that, too! Considering the blades don't really cost that much, I don't know what makes me so stubborn about changing them.

I plan to get some tops quilted. I did an inventory Wed. night, and I have 7 tops ranging from lap size to king size! The lap size is one my mom made, so I may decide to hand-quilt that one.

I am taking a class with Bonnie Hunter at the end of this month. I need to get my strips cut for the class. I am also finishing some UFOs and then would like to cut out new quilts for the granddaughters. I bought two new patterns and the fabric bundles to make them.

Linda, what pattern are you making in the BH class? I like a lot of her designs but there sure are a lot of pieces!

Donna, we are making Tropical Twist from her newest book, Addicted to Scraps.

Just googled that quilt. It looks easy enough to replicate and I found a site that gives a variation of the quilt. Stitching Therapy is the name. I tried to copy, paste but failed. On the "List".

For this month, I'll try to get the 3 yard quilt done for my friend. I never got to it in May. My plan was to start cutting this morning, but a nasty headache makes me feel the need to wait til the headache is gone. We have an entire week of my husband's family for his mom's 95th birthday, and then a few days later, a memorial day for his younger brother who passed in May. I'll be doing lots of cooking and cleaning. But, I do have hope for the 3 yard quilt.

Theresa, at first glance Tropical Twist looks just like Bonnie's Star Struck, except that it uses two, 2" strips in place of the one, 2.5" strip. The Star Struck instructions are free on her website.
