I've already started working on some star blocks (just finished a quilt this past week). I usually take awhile to decide on my next project but this one just suddenly took hold in my mind day before yesterday. I went through my batik stash which isn't really large and then supplemented regular fabric that would look good with it. I'm making just regular 8-pointed stars using several different fabrics as the center block, and I'm making all the star points black and they will also all be sashed with black. I'm using one fabric for all the backgrounds.

I sandwiched my OBW yesterday. I'd like to work a bit on some of my scrap quilt projects. It's such a fantastic weekend, for a change, that I might spend some time in the garden or on our boat.

Last week I was working in the garden and later discovered that I had been bitten about 25 times by what must be chiggers. I have never had a problem with them here, but like everything else, I suppose they are moving north with the warmer weather. The itching was ferocious, and they all developed little blisters. Now they're bright red spots with crusty yellow tops. Yuck. I guess I'd better lather up with bug spray before I venture out again. It makes me want to stay indoors and quilt.

I had a lazy day yesterday. I finally got my Mini Cooper on 5/26 and yesterday it was at the dealership getting its bonnet stripes. It's so dang cute now I want to drive around all day! LOL. His name is Nigel.

I'm going in the sewing room now. Not sure what I'll work on yet.

Donna, our neighbor girl has a blue Mini Cooper. It's so cute.

I got all the strips sewn for the Walk in the Park and blocks cut. Last night, I had some time before heading out to Church and managed to get several sewn together. Will try to finish that part today.

We have company coming on Wed. So I am trying to figure out my cleaning schedule for the next few days. No point doing the kitchen floor today only to have DH spill jam and cereal. Worse than a kid!LOL

Donna, congratulations on your Mini. What color did you get. My daughter's is pale yellow with black stripes and a red interior. She loves hers.

Theresa, I had to laugh at your comment about your DH. My DH is an outdoor kind of guy. He is in and out of the house, and I'm not exaggerating here, 40-50 times a day. Grass clippings, wood chips, dirt, you name it - it comes in with him. He also cooks a lot (I'm not complaining), but it does mess up the kitchen. It does give me more time to quilt though.

Lucky you! This one does not cook! Or clean up!

Saturday we had lunch with DGD as she left today to go back to CO and her job. Sure loved having her here for a few weeks. I worked on 3 of my projects this week-end.....of course, none completed. lol
