Apologize for not being to take better pictures. We're nearing the end of our renovation, everything is being covered up in preparation for painting. We have a bay window that I have steel casing installed, the idea was inspired by this Houzz picture.

Ours is much longer but the depth of the casing is not as big. The stair stringers and railings are stained very dark brown. Room will be painted a very light gray (BM shoreline). Floor is white oak, natural stain. I had originally wanted to paint the steel black like the Houzz pic, but the foreman is worried the paint will chip with use. I think the plain steel look is nice too, but leaning 60-40 towards painting it black. Any advice is appreciated.
