White. Stark but in a good way... :)

Have to say that you will have to see what colors are available from the door contractor, which is what we had to do. I'd go dark rather than light. Secondly, change out those lights for some carriage house brass to add a little bling and distinction to those doors. What a nice house! I think that evergreen in the middle looks a little odd because of it's height, creating an imbalance. You might consider removing it in time. How about a pot of geraniums in between those doors? Lucky you!

Here are several ideas.

I like dark brown

I would paint them the same dark color as your trim. Then paint the framing of the the garage doors and your beautiful green front door in white/offwhite to coordinate with your window frames. Your door is lost in there. That way your garage doors will blend in. The house looks off balance with all that white on one side.

I would also get some tall slim white/off white planters with a tall tree and flowers in between your garage doors.

I would go for a dark colour, either black or green the same as your front door. If you live in UK check out easterngaragedoors.co.uk they're very helpful and will do any colour you need!

HI! Just some info regarding purchasing garage doors from a former insider. Your color choice isn't limited by the garage door contractor. Yes, you can purchase doors that are powder coated certain colors at a higher cost. However, most garage doors come in white, which are then painted by contractors/homeowners. Another reminder when purchasing garage doors. Typically, every few years at least one panel of your garage door/s will get damaged by storms or other issue and need to be replaced. You will only need to replace the damaged panel. It is excessively cheaper to replace a white door panel then paint, rather than a custom colored panel which may not match the older panels that have been exposed to weather at that point. Just food for thought. Either way, once again, BEAUTIFUL house. Lucky you!

I do in fact, see that the house is off balance (too much white on one side) and white would be the logical/cheaper choice but that is what we originally had and I didn't like it. I do like the idea of painting the trim in white (for the garage door and front door - great examples, thank you!!!). That way, if and when we do change the windows, we can switch out the trim colour if need be. Also, thank you for letting me know that metal doors can be painted. I assumed only the wood ones could be. Trying to camouflage the doors into the mortar/brick colour has proven too challenging, although I like the idea itself. It was a designer who picked out the colour that is up there now but I don't think it ever blended in.

As for the landscaping, consider the evergreen gone! LOL. Actually, we were planning on getting a new plan for all of beds. The evergreen was quite small when it first when in and the plants right under the window were larger and healthier. North facing so not a lot of options for colour. Maybe a Japanese Maple......more centred of course!

Thanks again for all of the great photos. We tried uploading our photo to a supplier website but the colours that came up on the screen did not look like the samples we had in our hands. Even the dark brown!! That's when I gave up on the camo idea. Definitely, liking the darker colours now that you put them up for me PPF.

All lighting to be changed out as well. Definitely need to be larger but not sure about the brass. I'll think about it, though.

The only other action that could improve the home appearance is changing the window sashes from white to bronze.
