Depends on where you live. I am delaying planting my zucchini this year in hopes I can avoid the dreaded squash vine borers. The squash bugs are a pain but at least I can see them to get rid of them.

Nope been here for a couple weeks now.

Have seen and scraped off several squash bug egg clusters over the past few days here. One of the adults favorite hiding places is on the bottom side of the oldest leaves that rest on the ground. It's like a singles bar under there. Lift up a few of these oldest leaves on the ground and peek underneath.

Yep, had them here in Tn. for about 2 weeks. Saw my first SVB 3 days ago, and today I squished 4 cucumber beetles... both spotted and striped. :-(

I squished my first 2 on Sunday here in the KC area but didn't find any eggs on the yellow squash leaves. My butternut squash just sprouted a few days ago and my acorn squash have yet to sprout. Last year I had a big SB problem on my cucumbers and cucumber beetles on my zucchini.
