I'd love to bump this qustion as I have the same question. I've decided that I will pick matching lights for entry and stairwell and different for dining room but hope that will work

We think that you should definitely change up the styles. Making intentional decisions for different areas that compliment each other, makes it much more interesting.

They can be different, however they need to work well together. Photos of the lights you have are the best way to get help otherwise it's a shot in the dark.
