Picked my first Prelude today

Store bought raspberries have always been my favorite fruit so I decided to try growing some this year. I planted 5 Preludes from Nourse the first week of April and was just hoping for some primocane berries this fall. I didnt realize the bare root stobs they sent could produce the best berries I've ever tasted in 8 weeks. The firmness of a fresh raspberry makes them so much better!

Hi...you will be very happy with Prelude, it is my heaviest producer right now while others are sporadic Prelude has Red Berries everwhere, and a second crop in the Fall...be patient.

Preludes are indeed heavier than my Novas and Himbo Tops that were all planted on the same day. Novas seem to be a sweeter berry, Preludes more tart. The only Himbo I've picked thus far I was not impressed with at all, hoping it was just a dud berry.
