Have you looked at Accessible Beige? It's a favorite with quite a few folks here, including myself.

That looks very nice, I'd have to find the BM equivalent, since builder only uses BM.

Your BM store can mix/match a different brand's color. You just need the chip and/or a sample.

If french canvas is too light for you I think seapearl will be also. And seapearl and french canvas both read greeny to me.

for a very neutral sandy off white try ballet white. But may still be too light (is just a hair darker and warmer than french canvas) and would be more beige than classic grey (would not be a grey).

you could try stonington grey and balboa mist. If you like collingwood you might like taupe/violet undertones and if that's the case you could try abalone or pale oak.

I like BM Powell Buff in my fairly bright LR. In another bright room, Silver Fox is a nice warm gray. There must have been convos about it years ago, I found it here then and still like it.
