How large are the numbers? Is real copper used?

Can you tell me the size of the numbers? I want to make sure they're clearly readable from the street. Also, as I understand it, you use a copper 'veneer' on top of HDU? How durable is this in the elements? I live in a four-seasons climate. Thank you!

On this plaque the numbers are 4 - 4.5" tall depending on how many you have. We use a REAL metal coating on top of the HDU and a marine grade clear spray so our plaques are able to withstand all elements. Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks

Kaitlin, thank you for your response. Knowing the size of the numbers helps tremendously. I'm still not clear on the 'face' of the plaque. You say it is 'REAL metal' but 1. Is it real copper? and 2. Is it a solid sheet of metal? I recently ordered a plaque from another company and was stunned at the inferiority of the product. I sent it back. Thanks you for your time in answering my questions. Hi Laurel,

Yes it is real copper. It's not a solid sheet of metal - it's a coating that we spray over the HDU to create a chemical bond so it won't flake or peel off like paint would. There is also a marine grade clear spray on each of our plaques that protects the metal from tarnishing and helps it withstand all elements. Hope this helps!
