Not sure what your question is. A photo of the front yard would certainly help!

If you really want to improve your landscape, I suggest you talk to a couple of local landscape designers. They know what works in your area and can come out and talk with you about what would work best. They would also be able to draw a plan for you of what to plant where, which you or they could implement, or a combination of both.

This is a great area. Soften the fence with an evergreen hedge. In the corners of the yard add River Birch trees for shade and privacy. They are beautiful trees. Plant the raised beds with evergreens (Holly or Boxwood) in the back and seasonal flowers in the front. Add wonderful lighting. Add a large exterior light fixture (lantern) next to the door. A fountain will add a wonderful sound and you might want to consider an arbor for shade
