I have a pretty large deck. 930 square feet including stairs. Boards run parallel with the house (nothing fancy). I'm looking at installing the Vintage collection in Mohogany color. High end decking company quoted me over $45,000 for material and labor on just the decking (no handrails). I have a quote on the decking for me to install myself for $9,300 (just the boards; no screws or clips; I'll probably use the Camo system install).

Remodelingexpense.com says I should expect to pay $13,252 - $14,500 installed for my zip code.

Obviously the 45k bid is insane but does 14k sound about right for 930 sq. ft installed?

I have a couple contractors coming out that the supplier recommends. The 45k bid was from the high end mega deck builder in my area.
