I would consider some other wall color than gray. Blues are coming into trends everywhere in design. I think off white walls with tiny tint of blue. Some blue in backsplash and deep blue gray on base of island with white countertops would work well. I will see if I can find some inspiration photos for you. Bbl

The living room, kitchen and dining rooms would be in whatever shade we pick as the hallways and stairways going up. Couple more pics

The blue in real life that exists is brighter than this picture and I would like to tone it down for a much paler shade of blue or grey. In the kitchen the beigey-yellow walls are definitely going. Thanks again for the great advice - you're all so helpful!

Look like good quality 5-pc shaker doors, modern reveal. How about white for the outer L and light to medium gray on the island?

Ok, just a few thoughts: why not move in and live in it for a while? While they may not be your taste, I think the wood cabinets are very nice, Ok -- if that's not possible, go white. It's classic. You could do a dark grey backsplash. Personally, I'm tired of everything grey these days. I think grey is going to be the Harvest Gold of the next generation.
