I think it looks beautiful with the wall color. Very nice contrast. If you chose the carpet color off a small swatch, it is very normal for carpet to look much lighter when installed. A couple times we have installed off white/ creamy colored carpet and once it's installed our customer is surprised to see it looks bright white.

Its a very nice light beige tone. Vacuum weekly and have it professionally steam cleaned once per year. Stains can happen and show with any shade of carpet, light or medium. But it doesn't look light enough to show dirt or dust accumulation. It also depends on the fiber (polyester, nylon or other..) it will hold or release dirt and stains differently.

One of the best cleaning products I have used for stain removal is made by Shaw Floors. It's their Shaw R2X carpet cleaner. Great product that removes the stain and reapplies stain protection.
There are a lot of other cleaners on the market. Most are too strong and can remove the stain protection and color dye in the fibers if used too often in certain areas. The product I am recommending will not.
