A licensed landscape designer suggested we plant a row of cryptomeria japonica. He walked the plot in daylight. We planted in fal and used timed micro watering the next summer. All twelve trees on the right are thriving but eight trees on the left are dead and dying. My local gardener guesses it is because the trees were planted in front of my neighbors bamboo and this gully area maybe more like a swamp. Comments.?
