We are renovating our kitchen. We are using maple custom cabinets stained a little darker than natural maple--chose black granite for the perimeter counters and sienna bordeaux for the island. We have to sign off on the cabinets soon--trying to decide whether to use mahogany for the island (which would look great with the lighter countertop) or stick with maple for everything. I've seen lots of pictures of mixed cabinets, but mostly one of the woods is painted white, and I don't want white cabinets. Will it look ok to use both maple and mahogany in the same kitchen?
