I'm afraid you may not have gotten any replies because most of us manage okay with much lower-tech methods, like looking at leaves and feeling the soil.

Given that in FL you always need to monitor your plants carefully for insect problems anyway, I'm not really sure how much labor you would save with such gadgets here.

Do you have to have one per plant or do you just stick it in any planter and it reads it. Sounds too pricey for me...i'd rather invest in a game camera to figure out what keeps knocking over my planters at night.

Pea, I have one per plant. Ot seems to work well. Ive been cross referencing the sensors with a digital moisture stick and soil test kit. The results seem accurate so far. Writersblock, my plants are ony screened in back porch, and I do check for problems everyday. So far so good.
