I'm really torn between a stucco and Hardie lap siding finish on my home. I've received recommendations on stucco, but I really like the look of siding. Do you have suggestions/recommendations based on pros/cons (i.e. cost, durability, environmental factors, air-tightness, etc.) or just general aesthetics. Construction will be cinder block first floor and frame second floor and is located in central Florida.

Note on elevations: Stucco elevation doesn't show stonework - likely on front entrance columns. Siding elevation looks odd in spots (e.g. left side between first and second floor) because I just photoshopped some siding on the stucco image.
