Usually when you have it painted a qualified painting contractor will treat the house for mold and pressure wash the home eliminating the mold and mildew . mold will sometimes grow on homes it's not a big deal unless its all over the place you might have a different problem if that's the case it doesn't sound like that's your problem . Another thing whatvkind of paint is on the house now and what paint will you use ? Sometimes poor quality paint won't have enough mildewcide in it to prevent the growth

We bought the house abt 7 yrs ago and it was 4 yrs old then so I don't know what paint was used but I would be surprised if they used a really good grade of paint. Your comments abt poor quality paint told me that we need to be sure to get a really good grade of paint - something I would not have known since we have always lived in a brick house before now. So thank you! Any hints about what you consider to be a good exterior paint brand?

What's your location ? Also take in mind all the brands I'll mention make low quality paint and high quality . Benjamin Moore aura or Moore life or from Sherwin resilience or Pittsburgh's paint timeless

You should be able to get any of these paints is there any local brands in that region ?
