Certainly, they are both cucurbits, the bugs do multiply fast.

Well I know they're both cucurbits, but I've been gardening for 50 years and have never before seen them on cukes. Hard enough to patrol a couple of squash plants, but cukes? Impossible to patrol.

When I pull up my old squash plants I'll leave one plant in intact to allow the pests to congregate on that one plant. The next day it's killing fields time as I don't want any leftover pests (generally squash bugs and cuke beetles) to set up camp on my late cucumber plants.

I guess that all depends on how you grow them.

I grow them up a trellis, have done so for many years, and they'd be impossible to patrol.
