Need Kitchen/Dining Room Help!

I am going to do some work on my kitchen. I want to go for a farmhouse style but not sure how to accomplish that with this current kitchen.
Plan:
- Paint bright green walls a nice pale green (bf wants to keep green in the house so I settled with a calm green)
- Keep cabinets
- Add a backsplash
- Paint kitchen table (Annie Sloan old white, distressed? maybe do a dark wood stain table top)
- Getting new chairs (want to do different kinds of chair types, but not sure what kind/colour)
- Maybe new light fixtures?
HELP!!
