I do. I then attach it at a corner with two edges folded under & hand-stitched to the quilt. The other edges are two machine stitched in the seam allowance under the binding. On occasion I have put the label on before I quilted the quilt, making it that much more difficult to remove it.

I have also. If you apply it before quilting it will be stiffer in that area and may gum your needle, so be careful which adhesive you use. I have also incorporated the label as part of a block on the front. Usually I do like Glassquilt and stitch in the seam allowance under the binding.
