I like the current bedding. I would repaint the walls grey and add teal/blue curtains that match the bedding. Also move the nightstand to the other side of the bed and replace the lamp. Ex.

Great bed! You're on the right track. For a guest, though-

You might want to consider changing out the side table. There's no place (that I can see, mind you) for a guest to place/recharge a cell phone, let alone a computer. Modern issues, but can still be affected within this great bed-and-breakfast feel of a room. At least declutter, an maybe bring a charging station in.

I would also add a floor lamp on the other side, if there's an outlet that can handle it. Let your guests choose their own level of ambient lighting.

I actually think your paint could work, if it wasn't fighting so hard with the bedding. Or the bedding would do better with a lighter, more complementary wall color. Depends on what you have a taste for.

Finally- I don't know if there's room for it, but I'd love to see a small chair in the room or a thin, sturdy bench at the end of the bed. Great place for a guest to sit and take shoes on/off.

A warm toned room would work well! - I think it would be nice to paint a pale yellow, or go neutral with a yellow accent wall to compliment the cherry wood. For the duvet, go for a simple look but with some pop of colors of bronze/beige.

Before you make a commitment on the paint, consider putting some art in there. You may find something that you love that has all the colors elsewhere in the room, and totally ties it together, or you may find something that suggests you choose a different paint that works with not only the furniture but the art too.

What a beautiful bed! As much as I love color, I'd consider going off-white in there. It appears to be a small room. Let the duvet and drapes bring in your color.

I like the idea of a fun pillow. It is a good place to start along with some neutral bedding.
