Door Knob Recommendations?

We need door knobs for our whole house remodel. We are looking for a matte black finish. We like the look of Emtek, but they start around $90 which I just can't stomach. The Schlage Bowery is a top contender at a good price, but I can't seem to find anything in between. What's the "Toyota" of door hardware? Looking for a solid feel and reliability without breaking the bank. Is there anything in the $50 range that fits the bill?

We were looking at Baldwin but couldn't stomach the $140/door price tag.

We ended up with Schlage (had the before these too). Latitude century in matte black.

And limited lifetime warranty. I just took an older locking set who's middle latch broke and got a new one at HD.

Another related question... Is Schlage OK for the entryway set as well? I could handle (no pun intended) shelling out a little for this if it was worth it to go with something like Emtek.

I have had Schlage for my entry set for 12 years with no issue and I'll be getting another to match our new ones.
