That very large gable entry looks out of proportion to me. Is that already existing or is this a plan/photoshop to see what it would look like? If it already exists maybe something can be done to tone it down a bit. Perhaps landscaping or a different color. One of the others that is better with design would have to provide the solution. It just is very off putting with the low slope main roof and this large gabled entry.

Shutters alone won't help the looks.

Remove that carport from the front - you can tell by the clean spots where the old shutters were that it is not original.

Replace it with something more like the original - which would have been the classic "front porch", with a slanting roof, held up by posts and with a railing.

Thank you for all the great advice. I really love the new porch pics, unfortunately, have to take into consideration the location of property for resell, just not cost effective. Phuninthesun, what app are you using to apply changes. I've been looking for something like that. I really like the color suggestions. Much better curb appeal, and we will be doing landscaping soon.

To fill up the space to the left of the front porch, a high backed bench would be nice.
