Bluish gray use Benjamin's Moore's floor and porch paint

Bluish gray wont be too matchy-matchy? I dont want the house to look like a big blue thing (even though it is lol). The front door is red by the way

You might want to rethink your aversion to white porches. You don't want a patchwork of color. It should be white, but not just the column; the fascia, the vertical trim at the corner of the house, the entire column, and the trim board around the porch floor. It will look fresh and sharp with the blue and match your windows.

Bluenan- I think I have an aversion to white porches because every time I have seen a white porch, it just wasnt done well and they seem to get dirty very quickly. Now that you mention it, though, I think painting all of that stuff white would look pretty sharp. Thanks for the advice :)

I don't like white on a house of that style - I would go with a light gray or possibly a yellow toned off white - depends on the color of your cement block foundation and porch posts.

I like a porch ceiling painted light blue or perhaps the very light yellowish cream with the trim painted in the dark tones

Be careful of anything yellow toned, it will look dingy and dirty in the Michigan snow. A good gloss or semi-gloss paint will hold up to the elements and be easy to clean. A gloss paint will be the most durable, it will start out pretty shiny, but it will dull out to a softer sheen pretty quickly.

Some examples...

I like the white trim, but maybe just the flooring on the porch could be a light gray, to echo the color of the roof. If it is rickety and old though, maybe you could use a trex type material, which will be easy to maintain, and safer.

Watch out too much of a gloss on those porches when wet very slippery

Suggest painting the porch trim white...columns, corner boards, trim board on perimeter of porch floor, head beams, crown molding, etc. Paint the porch floor light grey deck paint. If you have enough in your budget, replace the "stick" panels around the porch with framed square lattice panels (see below) and paint light grey. Part of the "rickety" may be the look of the "stick" panels. Framed lattice is more substantial looking than one long lattice panel and works better with the style of the house.
