Looks like it will affect it by about 2 inches to me. This isn't that complicated, do you really need that small amount of space or not?

You're over-thinking this. It will be fine. What is the top material, please?

It's LG Hausy Quartz Minuet. I think I AM overthinking. So far the people I have asked said that you don't jut out countertops into a 5 point juncture walkway to accommodate one stool persons right elbow for a 2 inch benefit.

We would have to jut out into hall 6 inches for that angle to give way 2 inches.

I'm used to having a jut out, but at bar height so I think it may be my eye adjusting to a new configuration.

I would definitely have it flush to the wall because the projecting granite is a hip hazard and a "bang your arm into it hazard" every time someone walks down tyhe hall to the kitchen.

I have two kids with dwarfism so your last comment about "bang your arm" nailed it for me, because their max height is going to put their heads around that ledge height and banging on that corner of squared quartz would be no good.
