    We cut the slats (rods) out of 4x8 sheets of Bamboo Plywood. The slats are actually 8 feet tall, not 14 feet as described in the article. The framed opening in front of the stair landing is 14 feet tall and is also made from sheets of bamboo plywood.

    How are the slats connected at the top and bottom? I'm doing something similar but with 1 1/2" square wood.
