I'm planning a remodel for house I'm purchasing, a lovely 90s custom home time capsule. There is a wall opposite the existing built in banquette that I'm planning on adding on to. It currently is 8 feet wide, before the diagonal cut pantry door. I'm planning on squaring out the pantry, which will make that wall approx. 12 feet. I'd like to have the fridge on the far right of this wall, and to the left a series of upper cabinets, and undercounter wine/bev fridge, ice maker and microwave drawer. My thinking is it would be a good location to put the high "frequency" items to keep them out of the main cooking/prep area. My husband is particularly picky about the fridge not sticking super far, so the hunt begins.
So my current question is about refrigeration options. I can't afford a SubZero or other brand built in fridge. But, I can afford a Frigidare Professional All Refrigerator/Freezer. But I see reviews for that set (and the very similar Electrolux) are VERY hit or miss. So, I'm trying to be creative. I'd love thoughts on purchasing two Fisher Paykel bottom freezer refrigerator units to place side by side. Specifically, the 25" units. Has anyone done this? Any red flags I might be missing?
