Persil Sensitive on Clearance

At my local walmart for 8$ for the 100ounce size and I had a 2 dollar off coupon bringing it to 6 bucks. I hated this stuff when it first came out the scent was awful, but the scent was removed making it perfume free and dye free..I do like it. With its 4 enzyme cocktail it does a fantastic job of cleaning and removing even untreated stains.

Now why is it on clearance...persils history if it goes on clearance its discontinued. I have 6 more 2 $ off coupons so for 6 bucks a jug its well worth it.

MamaP I found Persil very sudsy. Did you find this one sudsy?

Heather Persil the liquids used to be a suds nightmare for me, but somewhere along the road this got better maybe Henkel fixed it but it doesn't suds nearly as much as it did the first year it was introduced in the US. I still have to be careful with dosing and I've found it suds much much less if the clothing has actual soils which is not a problem with these boys lol. I think its like all detergent some will have suds issues some won't. I like this stuff, cleaning is excellent and its perfume free. My Tim hates hates hates scent of any kind in his bedding and clothes he doesn't even like a whisper of a scent like I do yet many of the Free and clear detergents (excluding Tide F&G pods) are mediocre at stain removal. Persils Sensitive gives me the excellent stain removal and the scent free. I do generally only use it for the boys stuff adding either Vanish or unscented Tide boosters for whites. For 6 bucks its a total bargain for me.

I bought a couple of of 100oz jugs of the sensitive a month or two ago out at the Amish salvage grocery store for $5.99. It works pretty good. They get a mix of Persils from time to time. My SIL has gotten Persil 2/1 in the smallest jug for $1. They had grab green pods this past weekend but at $6/24 pods, not really a deal.

Glance at my post, the last one in the Persil be gone thread. The picture is the first rinse. I am using Persil 2n1 10 Demensions of Clean. I dose according to load size and soil level which saves money since I don't have to use the recommended amount in each load but I still get very good cleaning. In the picture I did use the recommended dose to see how it would rinse.

I have to revise my above statement...the Persil Sensitive is amazing. Almost zero suds, ok not quite, but very very low suds, even less than Tide liquid Turbos. Add the flavored Persil Proclean liquids which are also extremely low sudsing now, not as low suds as the sensitive but still nothing like it used to be. I'm impressed. And cleaning can't be beat. Between Persil Sensitive and Cheer..I've found my favorates..and of course Tide with Bleach powder for whites...actually I have been using Vanish and Persil sen on my whites, towels, bedding...LOVE IT.

Eta..if I Vanish was sold in the US I'd give up my Tide with Bleach powder. But once Ollies sells out its all over for me lol

Was in Family Dollar today. Surprised to see Persil Original, Intense, and Sensitive. Only $5 for the small bottle, $10 for the large. I believe they had the pacs also. If only I could find All powder. Im in NE Ohio.

The sizes at Family Dollar are 40 oz and 75 oz, which I believe are smaller than the sizes at Wal-Mart, Target, etc.

There the same size as Walmart. 5 bucks is a good deal.

If you decide to buy Persil make sure you get the newest 2n1 formulation which is 10 Demensions of clean. The back of the bottle lists the 10 things it is supposed to addresses. One of them is clean rinsing. It also seems like the scent has been reduced...but then I also have a nose of lead too.

No...Wal-Mart size is 100 oz, which is 77 cents more for 25 more ounces.

Interesting. The smaller size is 40 ounces. I bought one at FD and have one from Walmart. I didn't pay attention to the larger size.

    That's it

I opened my new bottle of 2n1 so I could paint the lines in the cap with a marker and noticed that this bottle has a different cap. At least the lines are different, but not in a bad way. This cap has more lines than the previous one, so I can actually be a bit more precise in my dosing. The lines have the milliliters next to them, If you could actually see them, but in the light they are there. It looks like the recommended dosage has been reduced but only slightly.

Line one is 29.5 ml or about 2 tablespoons. This is the one I use for most loads that have a few marks of visible soil and medium size loads, but I have a smallish machine of about 13 pounds total.

Line 2 is 46 ml or about 3 tablespoons.

Line 3 is 53 ml or about 3.5 tablespoons.

Line 4 is 59 ml or about 4 tablespoons - 2 oz the recommended amount

Line 5 is 73.5 ml for about 2.5 oz

Anyway I dose by soil amount and load size which cleans well and saves money, but now I can use line 2 or 3 If I want to use a bit more but not the recommended amount.

Somehow the cap got rotated on upload but line 1 is in the lower left of the pix.

Since I don't know how to delete a pic once it is on the forum, let's try that again.

Better. The lines are actually bars now.
