Is there a "quality" brand for drip irrigation system?

the last time i bought, two plastic timers burst within a short period of time. i need something strong.

    I always specify Rainbird but DIG products work well and are more easily available at big box stores. Bear in mind that sizing is not uniform and you may run into compatibility issues combining parts from different manufacturers.

    My hunch is that high water pressure caused the timers to "burst." If the water pressure was too high, there are inexpensive pressure regulators that use standard garden hose connections. Attach one end to the faucet and the other end to the timer.

    brilliant larry ... i was going to also suggest ... dont turn the spigot on full blast ... lets call that self regulation ...


    or.. buy a professional grade unit to start with .... and read the instructions included about pressure ratings ...
