Is this countertop a metal with artificial patina applied? Or wood with an incredibly straight grain?

I happen to know for sure that it is Black Walnut in a plank style construction and at that angle the grain looks extra straight. It has what they call a "distressed" finish but it is not stained. It has a Tung Oil finish on it that makes it waterproof and totally food stain proof.

I had that exact photo as one of my inspiration pics and have since contacted the manufacturer! Their name is Craft Art and their website is just www.craft-art.com.

I have gotten more than one peice from them so far so when I saw that photo I had to chime in!

You can find that photo here, too. <a href= http://www.craft-art.com/products/islands//>wood countertop pics!</a>

Glad you like it! Craft Art is a distributor and Mfr. They sell to dealers like us:) So is nice to be able to send the business this way especially if you found it on an inspiration photo. Otherwise designers and dealers will not allow Craft Art to use their prof photos one day!!!:)
