Method Power Dish Packs

I know many here are a fan of the now hard to find Smarty Dish tablets. Has anyone tried the Method Power Dish Packs? They advertise that they are 30% more powerful than the Smarty Dish. Enzymes include amylase and protease. Available in Free + Clear and Lemon Mint.

I think @mamap posted about these a month or so ago. Or someone did, cause I went out and bought some, lol! They seemed good. My dishes got clean. I always put some STPP in with my dish washing powder. I like putting detergent in both my compartments, and with pods, it makes it difficult because it doesn't fit in the prewash compartment. Or I break one open and split it with another load. This makes more of a mess. So I'm not a pod fan.

    Nope..wasn't me..this is news to me..but I can't try them......Waaaaaa...my DW died.

OH NO! What are you going to do? Enlist those boys, lol! All kids need to know how to create a clean dish.

Oh MamaP, it is your turm now, I feel for you. But as Enduring said kids need to know hiw dishes get clean even these days with machines doing so much work.

You getting a new one? I know you said it was old and maybe on its last legs.

Yes the boys will help they already know how to wash dishes. I will get another once I hit the lottery...haha

Mama, the Bosch Ascenta uses very high wash and rinse temperatures while still being efficient. I would recommend one for your household since you have lots of hygienic needs! Good luck!

I tried them. Not bad. I still prefer the gg pods.

Oh dear Mama... I'm sorry. With Christmas sneaking up on us pretty fast Home Depot and Lowe's will be getting some special buys in and they have 12 months with no interest going on also. Are you pretty sure it's not something simple that could be fixed?

Forgot to mention that these also contain TAED.

I don't know what's wrong with this beast. It was making a strange almost grinding sound only when I started it than I could smell something burning. Now if I turn it on it does nothing no sound nothing. I suppose its shot expecially considering I know jack about fixing it. Lol

Mama I feel your pain. Maybe somebody on AW could help you out with it.

Hey Mama! I feel for you being without a dishwasher. Ugh! I would try AW.org, as beaglenc suggested. If I had to guess, I would say your motor seized up. I am sure you can find replacements online, if you wanted to attempt to repair it. :)

These packs do a pretty good job- I picked up bag of the unscented ones. Besides clean, I have two measuring sticks for detergents. (1) Scent in the wine glasses- verdict- none. (2) Are there any blue/rainbow marks on the one stainless steel sauce pan that I put in the dishwashere? Result- no marks! Glassware, flatware and the rest are clean as well. Much better than the Smartydish tabs, which I never could successfully break in half.

I have the Method. Old DW and the are a bit too fat for the detergent cup. OK performance but no nice fragrance like the Smarties (I found a bag and grabbed it yesterday. I cut them with a scissors and keep them in a jar.)

I also got a bag of these LemiShine tabs which I think do a nicer job than even the Method. Nice surprise. Anyone use them?

Do find the Method ok for small/light loads.

Jane...I have used 2 bags of these LemiShine tabs. They work very well, better than Method pods, but not as good as Method smarty tabs.

Adam, I would agree with that. And, for me, nothing is as good as the Finish Quantum but they are so powerful I only use them for heavy duty loads.
