Fall dormancy?

last modified: 9 years ago

I live in south central Wisconsin and have a mostly kbg lawn that is likely decades old. I have significant dormancy from the hot dry summer here. I rarely water as I only have one impact sprinkler. My question is, would it be worth watering it at this point to try and get the grass growing again? It was very thick up till mid summer, but then I had fungus issues and parts of the lawn started to suffer. I’m not against watering, but I don’t want to waste it if it won’t help with my issue.
