Our 600 sq. foot flat is in its final stages. I want to give it a natural and modern feel, that is welcoming. My furniture is wood, dark and white painted. Our kitchen cabinets are white, black quartz counters and a taupe backsplash. The ceiling is exposed concrete along with a concrete pillar in the dining area. All within an open concept space. The photos identify our only options from the builder; Photo 1 shows the maple wood options at the top and the oak options at the bottom; Photo 2 shows a comparison of the maple white and oak chocolate. I am steering towards either the white oak or natural oak, but my husband wants the white maple or chocolate.... We are not sure if we will have a lot of light coming in from our 1 window (full wall patio door) and so I fear the chocolate will make the apartment feel too small, and I worry that the white maple will look to cold/bland!!! Please share your suggestions or experiences!! Thank you!
