What about a niche like you'd do in a shower? It could have a slim shelf above for the remote, and a bigger shelf below for TP or moist cloths. And it would take up no floor space or knee space at all.

Isn't there a wall cradle available (like the thing for your ceiling fan remote)? Cheaper brands have these; I can't imagine that the industry standard would not.

Last year I put this item in my daughter's Christmas stocking, and all my kids were nuts about it. My older daughter bought one for herself and her husband ... plus one for him to keep beside his desk at work. My youngest daughter wants a second one to take to her dorm room next fall.

I'm showing the one that fits a small, standard phone, but they come in larger sizes too -- even sizes that fit Tablets -- and I think the larger sizes would work for the bathroom remotes.

My remote for our Brondell is on the wall. Snaps into the cradle with a magnet. Very sleek. Mrs Pete, the photo function on Houzz has been down for DAYS and I don’t think they mean to fix it. Many complaints have been made.

I have 2 advanced toilet seats. Both controllers are mounted on the vanity or wall, next to the toilet. I never take the thing out of its cradle. I used command strips to mount it to my nice vanity or wall. I did not drill holes. The cradle might come with some sort of sticky mount. I did go with 3M strips instead, because they are safe for paint. I one bathroom, I had it mounted on the wall and could easily move the location.

Don't have the controller loose on a shelf. It will get dropped.

Most definitely YES to having TP. You will want a small portion to dry yourself after the wash. The dryer is too long and not very effective. It can also be too hot.

I have genie bidets at home and put Toto washlets in my lake house for a touch of hotel luxury. Only now that I have them do I realize that I hate having a remote. I don’t have anywhere I can put it so I had to buy a toilet paper stand with a tray on it. Now the bathrooms are cluttered with trays and remotes. I want to swap the bidets out for ones like I have at home with the manual switch on the side.
