Hi, I think you should go a semi dark tiles it will make you backsplash more highlighted but not too light like the picture you posted.

WTH? is the floor? How can anyone wisely advise without knowing the flooring? Post a photo in daylight, with the shutter open, and the lights on, and include the entire view of the kitchen unless you want a total mish mash result.
