Adding a wall oven over my range oven?

I have a microwave that is currently installed above my range oven. I never use the microwave and would rather have an extra (smaller) oven alternative. I was doing research on above range convection ovens but cam cup short because they're all microwave ovens which I don't want. So now I'm thinking to just put a built in oven in place of the microwave instead. Question is, can I? Can I built in oven go above a range oven? I've never actually seen it and I'm not sure if it's safe/allowed Any advice?

I don't think they have been made since the era of the Frigidaire Flair and its relatives, and even those were just ranges assembled oddly. Ovens currently made for North America are intended to be set into cabinetry. Cabinetry can't be stuck over a cooking surface and comply with code or common sense. If you were able to get past that, it would have to be high enough to not interfere with cooking below it and so would need a side-opening door so that one could get into it.

At least you can get a side-opening door oven!

I got this unit that I am renovating to sell and I bought this Combination Double Wall OvenMicrowave...that's what I would recommend.

The link Sammy posted is not working. hopefully this link to AJ Madison with the OTR Microwaves and Convection set as a filter works. Sharp makes the majority of these units. I am not sure if Panasonic has one. They are all microwaves but you don't have to use the microwave functionality.

The poster was looking for a unit to go over a cooktop or range not a double oven setup like you linked to.
